Blandin, husband of Saint Salaberge, accepts the religious separation of their marriage to dedicate himself to his own sanctification.
Blandin , husband o f Saint Salaberg e and father of Saint Bau doin, as well a s of Saint Aust rode, was worthy of being the head of such a family. He consented to his wife entering religious life, and he himself thought only of working toward his own sanctification. He died after the middle of the 8th century. In the monastery that Saint Salaberge had founded in Laon, a porti on o f his relics was kept along with those of his holy family. Saint Blandin is honored above all in a village in the d iocese of Meaux that bears his name.
