Celestial Lights in Hagiography
Supernatural lights are brightnesses that sources do not present as ordinary lighting: ray, column, globe of fire, luminous face, or glow around a tomb. They may signal a presence, accompany a prayer, indicate a hidden place, or mark a saint's death. Fire is often an image of light rather than a burning threat; this is what distinguishes this page from fires and tortures by flames.
