Mystical Apparitions and Visions

A mystical apparition or vision is an experience in which the narrative depicts Christ, the Virgin, an angel, a saint, a deceased person, or a spiritual scene. It may occur while awake, in prayer, or in a dream, providing counsel, confirming a vocation, or announcing an event. This page does not concern eye disorders: the word "vision" here designates spiritual content, whereas the page on sight deals with blindness and visual healing. It is also distinguished from simple celestial lights and voices without visible presence, even if several signs may coexist in one episode.
